Ford Consul Capri GT
Mal ein etwas anderes Porträt. Unser Oldtimer, den mein Mann in jahrelanger Arbeit liebevoll restauriert hat. Dabei hatte er das Fahrzeug bis zur letzten Schraube zerlegt.

Veterok, artist from Finland
Öl auf Malplatte 15 x 15 cm
Ich suchte nach einer Alternative zu Acryl. Ölfarben kamen bisher nicht in Frage, da ich sie wegen der Giftigkeit und der Dämpfe nicht verarbeiten wollte und konnte. Durch Zufall bin ich auf wasserbasierende Ölfarben "Artisan" von Winsor & Newton gestoßen. Ich habe mir einen Vorrat zugelegt und bin begeistert. Der Geruch ist angenehm und die Farbe soll nicht so gesundheitsschädlich sein. Für den ersten Test wählte ich ein schönes und interessantes Portraitfoto von Veterok, einer Künstlerin aus Finnland. Ich arbeitete jedoch nicht unbedingt auf Ähnlichkeit hin. Nach kurzer Zeit ließ ich das Portraitfoto komplett außer Augen.

I was looking for an alternative to acrylic. Oil-based color were not alternative, because of the toxicity and the vapors I did not want to and could handle them. By coincidence I found the water-based paints 'artisan' by Winsor * Newton. I buyed some and I am thrilled.
The smell is pleasant and the color is not to be harmful to health. For the first test I chose a nice and interesting portrait photo of Veterok, an artist from Finland. I worked but not necessarily on similarity. After a short time painting the portrait, I didn't look at the reference picture.
